Overview
Safety is paramount in the freight logistics industry, but are you doing well enough? Who is doing best, and what are the top five things you can implement to improve the safety bottom line?

The TWU "Safe Rates" campaign is receiving headlines, and the TWU National Secretary, Tony Sheldon, will argue the merits of a link between rates and safety.
Separate expert panel sessions will explain and discuss how we can achieve safer vehicles, roads, drivers and safer communities.

The Guide to Safer Workplace Driving will be showcased - this a really useful resource for fleet managers. A final fleet managers panel session will bring together the topic for the day with "what safety improvements can we achieve and how do we get there?"

Emergency Response to Dangerous Goods – Thursday 10 September

Overview
Effective emergency response for dangerous good incidents is critical if loss of life and assets as well as community disruption and environmental damage are to be minimised. This session focuses on the concept of a nationally recognised training regime that could improve the capability of industry to respond to incidents and also allow incident controllers to recognised personnel with appropriate competencies at accident scenes.
